Social Enterprise Clothing Catches Traction at Boyle Heights Farmer's Market

Social Enterprise Clothing (SEC) had its first public showing at the Boyle Heights Farmer's Market. The inaugural shirt, Los Angeles, created a stir among the venue's clients. Dario Debora, Second Chance's Front Line Man, was pleased by the crowds' reaction to the shirt and the company's mission to help Homeboy Industries.

Dario stated, "I've been coming to this market for the last 2 years, and these are the largest crowds I've seen at the booth. Everyone wants to help Homeboy Industries, and get a Defer designed shirt too. women's coats I can't wait to come back next week when we have Big Sleeps' first shirt design."

The Boyle Heights Farmer's Market opened for the first time on May 9, 2010. It operates every Friday night from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and provides quality products at affordable prices to the local community. It is a friendly family-oriented setting for shopping and socializing. In addition to the fresh produce, bread and food normally found at a Farmer's Market, the Boyle Heights Market has a different band every week, features local artisans, and showcases Community Agencies to make it easier for neighborhood residents to find local resources. The Farmer's Market is located at First Street and Bailey Street, Boyle Heights, CA 90033.

SEC's Second Chance will be back next Friday, June 15, 2012. A portion of every shirt sale goes back to Homeboy Industries to support its mission to provide job training, education, life skills and social services to its clients. The men and women looking for a New Way to live and a Second Chance to become contributing members to their families and their communities.
